About
Background
Seth taught himself mapping using Google Earth Pro while working in marketing and business development for a wetland mitigation banking company. Google took note of his innovative application of their product to protect wetlands and wrote a case study on it (seen below). Around the same time he was also invited to the Google Campus in Mountain View, California for the Google SketchUp 3D Basecamp Conference in 2008 in response to some 3D modeling he was doing with their software. He went on to create maps in his professional career for clients as a government relations consultant. While Treasurer for the Broward County Democratic Party, from 2016-2020, Seth created several maps to guide political strategy. Seth believes that data visualization is an effective communication technique to reveal insights in the tsunami of information today.
